A 1956 Jeep Willys Truck Rat Rod came to visit the tool store today.  Owned by Del Conroy, who has created a very unique look for this collector truck.  Del has been coming by the tool store for the last number of months trying to talk tool store owner Doug Gillis out of two of his beloved hood ornaments.  Del uses a variety of different items to decorate his one-of-a-kind rat rod truck and now wants to put two of the hood ornaments – one on either side of the roof of the cab – as a new item.  Doug parted with one hood ornament, but I think it looks better with two.  What do you think?

SkywayTools.com owner Doug Gillis has been collecting hood ornaments for collector cars and trucks for over forty years and now has almost a hundred different hood ornaments in his collection. He loves the old, genuine hood ornaments for Chevy, Plymouth, Buick and other American made cars from the 30s, 40s and 50s, so he began finding them in junk yards and yard sales and kept them out in the garage for over 40 years.
